Each work of pyrography in the gallery is woodburned from my own original drawing of the subject. From this original drawing, I can produce numerous individual woodburnings, each totally hand created and one of a kind.
Some items will be enhanced with colored pencils and others will be in monochrome (natural woodburning without added color). Some will be a combination of natural and color. I let the subjects dictate whether I use color or not.
This photo is an example of a commissioned portrait done on wood in monochrome. This lovely young woman died of Scleroderma.
